Bernard Alexander of Alexander Morrison + Fehr LLP, is a plaintiff employment and civil rights excessive force attorney, having tried 70+ cases to verdict, including the largest single plaintiff race harassment verdict in history in Diaz v. Tesla, -- $136.9 million (October 2021). As president (2014) of the California Employment Lawyer Association he created an annual trial college that has graduated 350+ attorneys. He was recognized as 2022 CAALA Trial Lawyer of the Year (the largest Plaintiff side organization in California), has been recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2009, a Top 10 Southern California Attorney yearly since 2021, and was featured on the 2022 cover of Super Lawyer’s magazine. The Daily Journal consistently recognizes him as one of the Top 100 attorneys, and one of the Top 75 Employment Lawyers in California. He is a member of ABOTA, a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment and the American College of Trial Lawyers, and received the Joe Posner (2016) and Jim Robie Professionalism & Civility Awards (2020). He is also a board member of NELA, the Foundation for Advocaty Inclusion & Resources (FAIR), an Alumni and Board of Trustee member of Southwestern University School of Law, and a lifetime member of the Langston Bar Association and UCLA Alumni association.
