CAALA Vegas 2019 takes place Thursday, August 29 through Sunday, September 1, 2019.

The convention registration desk is located in the Lafite Ballroom Foyer on the casino level of the Wynn. Follow the hotel signs for "Ballrooms" or "Meeting Rooms". Badges and materials will be available for pick up during the hours listed below.

CAALA has designed the convention to meet 20 of your 25 Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credit requirements, including all specialty credits. The program qualifies for 20 hours of MCLE credit of which 4 hours may apply to Legal Ethics, 1 hour may apply to Elimination of Bias and 1 hour may apply to Competence Issues. California attorneys in State Bar Compliance Group 3 (with last names beginning with N-Z) have a compliance period of 2/1/17 to 1/31/20; with a deadline to report by February 1, 2020. CAALA is an approved provider of MCLE credit for the State Bar of California. Provider Number: 1080.

Your convention badge has a bar code unique only to you and will be scanned each time you enter the convention to give a digital record of your attendance for each session time period. Remember to have your badge scanned each day you attend sessions. Your MCLE Certificate of Attendance will be emailed to you immediately after the convention. There is only one form for all four (4) days of the convention. Please keep the MCLE Certificate for your records. Send it to the CA State Bar only if you are audited.

Sessions are not being recorded.

Yes, all convention attendees with a badge can bring one (1) guest to the Thursday Kickoff Party and Saturday Closing Party. All guests must be non-lawyers.

Attendee Cancellation/Refund Policy

Attendee cancellations must be submitted in writing to bill@caala.org.

Registration cancellations will be accepted until July 31, 2019. Cancellations received by July 31 will be accessed a $100 cancellation fee. Registrations are non-refundable after July 31, 2019. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.


Exhibitor Cancellation/Refund Policy

Exhibitor booth cancellations will be accepted until June 28, 2019. Send all requests for cancellations and refunds to kwedi@caala.org.

A full refund of exhibitor fees will be given minus a 10% cancellation fee until May 1, 2019.
A full refund of exhibitor fees will be given minus a 50% cancellation fee May 2 - June 28, 2019.
Exhibitor cancellations are non-refundable after June 28, 2019.

Yes, you may substitute one person for another's registration (subject to applicable fee category).

CAALA will not cancel your hotel reservation. You must do that directly with the Wynn | Encore.

The Exhibit Hall is in the Lafite Ballroom and the show hours are as follows:

The exhibit hall is not open to the general public or guests. Guest passes are not available. Guests and children are not permitted inside the exhibit hall.

Exhibitor’s guests/clients who are not registered attendees of the convention will not be allowed to enter the exhibit hall. Exhibit hall tours are not permitted.

Vendors who are not exhibiting are not permitted in the exhibit hall or session rooms.

Yes, free WIFI internet access is provided in the Connection Center and throughout the exhibit hall and session rooms. Password will be provided upon check-in.

All speakers for CAALA VEGAS 2019 have already been confirmed. It is too late to be added to this year’s program.

In the future, CAALA is always looking for new speakers for the many educational programs it holds throughout the year. For consideration, please submit written proposals to speak at CAALA seminars or the annual convention directly to Cindy Cantu, CAALA Deputy Director: cindy@caala.org. Proposals should be brief (no more than 1 paragraph) and should include the speaker’s bio (no more than 1 paragraph). The topic must be educational for attorneys, not promotional for legal services or products. Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis. Final topics and speakers are selected by the CAALA Education Committee and Officers. If selected, you will be contacted by CAALA staff. (No telephone inquiries please.)

Attire for the convention is business casual. Suits are not necessary. Comfort is key when participating in education sessions, walking the exhibit hall floor and connecting with colleagues. You may want to bring a light sweater or jacket, as air conditioning inside meeting rooms can be cool.

You can search for Exhibitors on the Interactive Event Map page or the Exhibitor List page.

To perform a more extensive search, go to the Advanced Search page. Search for exhibitors by keyword, product category, country and state.

The My Exhibitors list contains the names of all the exhibitors you have tagged as favorites.

You can add an exhibitor as a favorite from any of your exhibitor lists by clicking on the star icon next to their company name. Your list of favorites can be found under the My Exhibitors tab.

You can quickly preview any updates you make to your Online Booth profile by clicking on the computer screen icon beside your booth number in the Exhibitor Console.

To update your online booth profile:

  1. Log in using the password found in your welcome email.
  2. Navigate to the "Exhibitor Console" and then select "Edit Booth Info".
  3. Fill in your company contact information.
  4. Scroll to the section where you are asked for "Website Url" and enter the company web address that you would like attendees to visit for more information about your company.
  5. Select the categories for your products and services.
  6. Click on the "Save" button.

In the Exhibitor Console, click on Products, Show Specials, Press Releases, Videos.

Enter the description and images in the appropriate fields.

Click on the "Add" button to save and exit.

If you cannot click on these items then you need to choose an online booth upgrade. Visit the Digital Promotion Packages page.

Tap on the Schedule app icon in the app menu dashboard to view the complete list of sessions.

You can view the schedule by swiping left and right and scrolling up and down for sessions sorted by day and time.

Search for sessions by keyword using the search bar at the top of screen.

Save a Session

There are two ways you can save a session: 

  • When you see a session title that interests you, tap on the star next to that listing.

          OR

  • From the session page, select "Add Session" to save it to your planner.

Search for Exhibitors by Company Name

Exhibitors are shown in two lists: “All Exhibitors” and “By Product Category”.  Click on a product category to view a list of the exhibitors in that group. 

The “All Exhibitors” tab lists all the current exhibitors in alphabetical order. The “By Product Category” tab lists the product categories and the number of exhibitors who have selected each of these. 

Search Exhibitors by Keyword

You can search for exhibitors by typing a keyword in the search box at the top of the Exhibitor list screen.  The results will include all exhibitors that have this keyword in their company name, profile, brands or product categories.

Each exhibitor listing has their booth number(s) displayed below their name. An exhibitor listing may have a video icon which indicates that they have uploaded multimedia content. 

Save an Exhibitor to Favorites

From the Exhibitor list or any exhibitor's eBooth profile, you can add the exhibitor as a favorite to your personalized planner by clicking on the star icon.

Exhibitor eBooth Profile

You can visit the eBooth for any company by clicking on their name in the Exhibitor list.  You will see the company’s contact information, description, product categories and videos they have uploaded.  To play the video on your device, just click on the video. From this screen you can add the exhibitor as a favorite to your Personalized Planner by clicking on the star icon. You can also view the location of their booth on the floor plan by clicking on the “Map it” button.  The exhibitor’s booth will be highlighted on the floor plan.

You can view the interactive floor plan by clicking on the Maps icon in the app dashboard. 

The Main Map will highlight booths belonging to the exhibitors that you have added to your Personalized Planner. You can also view an exhibitor’s profile from the map view by clicking on their booth.

How to find your location on the interactive floor plan:

1. Click on the Locate Me button at the bottom of the interactive floor plan.

2. Enter a nearby exhibitor's name and then click Search.

3. Click on the listed exhibitor's name, a marker will appear on the map to indicate where you are currently located on the show floor. 

From the app menu dashboard, select Planner app icon. From here you can manage the lists of exhibitors, sessions and personal meetings that you have added to your Personalized Planner.

Saved Exhibitors

Click on "My Exhibitors" to see your list of saved exhibitors.

Saved Sessions & Meetings

Click on "My Itinerary" to see your schedule by day. This section will include all of your saved sessions and the personal meetings you created in the mobile app. 

Add Session to Mobile Device's Calendar

From the session screen, select "Add to Device Calendar" to save the session in your device's calendar.

Add a Personal Meeting

From the Planner section, tap on the calendar icon at the bottom of the screen. Select your desired day and time

and add any notes.

Remove a Saved Exhibitor or Session

Tap on the star next to the Exhibitor's Name or Session title to remove the listing from your planner.

From the app menu dashboard, select the My Notes app icon. You will see a list of your session and meeting notes.

To add a note, tap on the "pencil" icon on the bottom of the screen.

To edit one of your notes, tap on the "folder" icon on the bottom of the screen to see more details.

To email the notes to yourself or a contact, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner.
